Torrey Pines Extension, Crest Way to the Beach & Return to Torrey Pines
This hike will be a little over a 6 mile scenic loop through the various terrains located in Del Mar. We will begin the hike going up 1.5 miles through the Torrey Pines State Park Natural Reserve Extension. We will then wind our way a little over 2 miles down some lovely neighborhoods located along Crest Way and 15th Street, ending up at Powerhouse Park at the beach. We will then walk south on the beach for 3 miles to Torrey Pines State Beach where we will return to our cars.
Dogs not allowed, poles not necessary. Bring water and a snack, restrooms along the way, wear shoes for the various terrain. Lunch may be a possibility afterwards.
We will meet at 9:00 on Del Mar Scenic Parkway just a little up the hill from the intersection with Carmel Valley Road. Look for on street parking.
