HIKE - San Elijo Lagoon Trail
San Elijo Lagoon Hike
Hike along the scenic San Elijo Lagoon enjoying one of San Diego's primary estuaries. The 5.3 mile, primarily out and back, trail is mostly level but is quite sandy and has only limited shade. For those more adventurous, we will briefly explore Annie's Canyon one of only a few true slot canyons in San Diego. Here there is an optional 1/4 mile quite steep trail up to an overlook above the Canyon.
There are several benches along the way for those that might not want to go the entire distance. No rest rooms.
The trailhead is located at the north end of Rios Road in Solana Beach. (GPS Location 152 Solana Point Circle). Take I - 5 and exit at Lomas Santa Fe Drive. Go west about 2 miles and turn north on Rios Road.
When:
Thursday, October 20, 2022, 9:30 AM until 12:30 PM
Where:
