1) Call 760-767-5341 - after October 1st to make reservations for a camp site or hotel. (Palm Canyon is closed June 1st to October 1st - no one to answer the phone). Military and Senior (age 62) discount of 15%.
HOWEVER, please note the cancelation policy for a 3rd party. Palm Canyon has 72 hours cancelation. You can also lock in a room for an extra fee.

NOTE: Borrego is a big success because of the volunteers!
1) Hiking information:
Palm Canyon is about a 3 mile loop and is considered moderate.
"The Slot" which is an easy 2 or 3 mile hike.
For those of you that have never hiked "The Slot" it is something that you'd never expect to find right here in our backyard.
Hiking poles, hiking boots, hats and water are suggested for both hikes.
We’ll meet at 9:30 am near the steps of the lobby to carpool to the trailheads for both hikes.
2) Packing suggestions:
Hiking: Hiking poles, suntan lotion, hat hiking shoes and drinking water
Biking: Bike, helmet, suntan lotion and drinking water
Walkers: Good walking shoes, suntan lotion, small purse/fanny pack,
(walk down around the Christmas circle)
Water aerobics: swim suit; water shoes (highly recommended); beach towel; sunscreen, hat
Bonfire: Matches/lighters/wood/newspaper/chair/jacket/gloves
Misc: Swim suit (pool 80-85 plus Jacuzzi); board games; Rocker shirt, Rocker Hat, flashlight for walking at night. Dish to share for Pot Luck first night; Beverages for Social Hour and daily activities for yourself the entire stay etc. - for example: water, soda, wine, beer, rum, vodka etc.

Each team will have:
1 person will be bouncing a ball
1 walker (no stairs)
1 in the pool
1 NON-ACTIVE member putting a puzzle together

NO COUPLES CAN BE ON THE SAME TEAM
Teams will be posted in the picnic area
6:30 - 7:00 Clean up (everyone clean up what they brought)

9:15 am Annual Group Pictures at the stairs just outside of the Hotel Lobby

12:30-2:30 Lunch on our own
2:30 - 4:00 Rocker Games (relay race)
Meet at the picnic area
4:30 - 5:00 Social Hour - BYOB
5:00 - 6:30 Dinner - Sirloin burgers; potato salad & green salad with desert (no cost)
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the
“Rocker Game Winners”
6:30 - 7:00 Clean up
