HIKE - Pamo Valley Boden Canyon Trail
You can chose do hike 4 or 6 miles along the Santa Ysabel Creek through the pristine Pamo Valley near Ramona. This wonderful hidden gem was scheduled to be a reservoir over 70 years ago, but it did not materialize. Thus, the valley is relatively untouched. This out and back hike is rated easy to moderate with about 400 feet of elevation gain. Wear good hiking boots, bring water and a snack and poles optional. Porty potty at the parking area.
Directions: From Escondido go east on CA highway 78. Turn left on Haverford Road and go 0.8 miles. At a 90-degree left curve the road becomes Pamo Road. Continue on Pamo Road for 2.7 miles down into Pamo Valley. Staging area is on the left.
There is no cell coverage in the valley
