Enjoy this 4th of July 4.5-mile loop hike up to the patriotic Mount Soledad Memorial Park to take in the 360-degree view and marvel at the architecture of the historical and modern homes built on the hill. It is a pretty steep climb for 2 miles up Hillside Drive and then a wandering way back down the mountain. We will park on the street at the meeting spot located at the GPS address of 1454 Virginia Way just off of Torrey Pines Road at the foot of Mount Soledad. Any walking shoe OK. Poles not necessary. Bring water.
