4-mile moderate hike from the restored historic Sikes Adobe, along the shores of Lake Hodges to the Trailhead at the base of Bernardo Mountain. This hike is one of the five challenge hikes offered this year by the San Dieguito River Park. Besides the historic Sikes Adobe, we should encounter migratory birds visiting the Lake, an all-year stream crossing and lovely views along the way. Recommend sturdy hiking shoes, poles not really
necessary, bring plenty of fluids. Potra potty at trailhead.

From I - 15 exit Via Rancho Parkway. Go east a short distance and turn right onto Sunset Drive. Parking in the small lot or on the street.
