HIKE - Highland Valley Trail
Meandering 4.5 mile out and back easy hike through the San Pasqual Valley to the San Dieguito River Park headquarters. This is just a small portion of the 70 + miles of trails managed by the Park. We will wander through woodlands dotted with coast live oaks and walk-through native grasslands along this single-track trail. Our destination will be the small San Dieguito River Park Visitor Center.
Any hiking shoe OK, hiking poles not necessary but bring plenty of fluids. Rain or very bad weather cancels.
From I - 15 in north Rancho Bernardo go east on Pomerado for 0.2 miles. Turn left on Highland Valley Road and the staging area parking lot is on your right in 400 feet from the traffic light. Pomerado Road
