HIKE - Red Tail Roost Mount Laguna
4.8- mile somewhat strenuous loop hike through the beautiful oak and pine forests of Mount Laguna. The hike is rated strenuous as the last 2 miles takes you up over 500 feet in elevation gain, some of the trail is rocky and the altitude is at almost 6000 feet. Lare parking area at the Red Tail Roost Trailhead. Parking area requires a Federal Senior Pass or a $5 Daily Fee.
Poles highly recommended, bring plenty of fluids and a snack. Restrooms located 1/2 -mile north at the Visitor Center
Carpools will be arranged.
Possible lunch afterwards at The Outpost Restaurant 10600 Sunrise Highway
