New Class - West Coast Swing
Are you a lead or want to learn to be a lead (usually a male)? We are recruiting for leads to join the February class.
Starting Tuesday, March 10. Get Off Your Rockers is starting a new West Coast swing dance class especially offered for our group. Michelle Halprin has contracted with Margie Adams, a highly rated, experienced swing dance instructor in San Diego. Margie is passionate about teaching and dancing. She performed both locally and in Europe and is experienced in multiple dance styles. Michelle can attest to her skills, dedication, and special attention to her students. After all, she has been studying with Margie for the past eight years!
The March class, West Coast Swing, runs one time per week for four weeks. Cost of this class is $72.00 per person, just $18 per person per session. Sign up early -- space is limited.
West Coast Swing is a modern, improvisational partner dance, characterized by a smooth "stretchy" look and a linear "slotted" structure. It is known for its versatility. It can be danced to diverse music genres, such as pop, blues, R & B, hip-hop, and contemporary songs.
