Signing up for this get-a-way is two easy steps:
1) Make reservation on your own for a camping site or hotel room.

B) First night deposit is due upon booking to hold your reservation.
2) MAKE SURE YOU SIGN UP ON THE WEBSITE - MAXIMUM IS 50.
Check-in/Check-out Procedure:
Palm Canyon: Check in time is 12:30pm for RV & Tent sites and 3:00 pm for hotel and airstream. Early arrivals or late departure are not permitted unless prearranged. Check-out time for all accommodations is 11:00 am. Rates quoted include the first two adults, one sleeping unit, and one passenger vehicle.

2021 BORREGO ITINERARY - PALM CANYON RV & HOTEL
Group activities meet in front of the stairs outside the hotel. Happy Hours, Dinners, board games etc will be in Meeting room 1.
The following is from Marie Dixon our Wagon Master for 2021 Borrego get-a-way:

1) Hiking information:
The Wednesday hike will be Palm Canyon which is about a 3 mile loop and is considered moderate.
Thursday will be "The Slot" which is an easy 2 or 3 mile hike.
For those of you that have never hiked "The Slot" it is something that you'd never expect to find right here in our backyard.
Hiking poles, hiking boots, hats and water are suggested for both hikes.
We’ll meet at 9:30 am near the steps of the lobby to carpool to the trailheads for both hikes.
2) Packing suggestions:
Hiking: Hiking poles, suntan lotion, hat hiking shoes and water
Biking: Bike, helmet, suntan lotion and water
Walkers: Good walking shoes, suntan lotion, small purse/fanny pack,
(walk into town and back)
Water aerobics: NO NOODLES water shoes; beach towel; sunscreen, hat
Chair yoga: water; loose clothing;
Bonfire: Matches/lighters/wood/newspaper/chair/jacket/gloves
Misc: Swim suit (pool 80-85 plus Jacuzzi); board games; Rocker shirt, Rocker Hat, flashlight for walking at night. Dish to share for Pot Luck first night; Beverages for Happy Hour and daily activities for yourself the entire stay etc - for example: water, soda, wine, beer, rum, vodka etc

Form teams for the Rocker Games aka relay race
Each team will have:
1 biker
1 walker (no steps)
1 in the pool - beach ball fun
1 NON-ACTIVE member putting a puzzle together
Teams will be posted in the meeting room
6:30 - 7:00 Clean up (everyone clean up what they brought)
NOTE: frig in meeting room 1 is mainly for ROCKER food
please use the frig in your room or RV
WEDNESDAY - October 13, 2021
7:30 -9am Pancake Breakfast - Coffee and hot Tea - Fruit (no cost)
9:15 am Annual Group Pictures at the stairs just outside of the Hotel Lobby
9:30 am Biking or Hiking (Palm Canyon) or Walkers (meet front of steps)
10:00 am Water aerobics - instructor Marie (NO noodles needed) Hotel pool
1:00 pm Camper Meeting - bring lunch - location - Gazebo (by the fire pits)
12:30-2:30 lunch on our own
2:30 - 4:00 Rocker Games (relay race) Let the games begin with the Bikers!
4:30 - 5:00 Happy Hour - BYOB
5:00 - 6:30 Dinner - hamburger & BBQ chicken with fixins and desert (no cost)
Gold, Silver and Bronze medals will be awarded to the
“Rocker Game Winners”
6:30 - 7:00 Clean up
7:00 - ??? Bon Fire/Board games
THURSDAY - October 14, 2021
07:30 -9am Oatmeal and fixens’ Coffee & Tea - Fruit (no cost)
09:30 am Biking or Hiking (Slot Canyon) or Walkers (meet in front of steps)
12:00-2:30 Lunch on our own
1:00 pm Chair Yoga with Tatis (meeting room 1)
2:30 pm Ice Cream social (meeting room 1)
4:30 pm Happy Hour - BYOB
5:00 pm Dinner provided by Carmelitas $15.00 per person
2 Taco’s (chicken/shredded beef); cheese, lettuce & tomatoes
rice, beans, chips & salsa
