HIKE - Scorpion Ridge/Santa Fe Valley Connector Trail

The Santa Fe Valley/Scorpion Ridge Trail is a segment of the San Dieguito River park's Coast-to-Crest Trail system, stretching 55 miles from Julian to the ocean. This 5 mile Trail is out and back and is rated moderate as there is a 3/4 mile switchback uphill portion. This hike is one of the 5 Trail Challenge hikes the Rockers will be doing.

The staging area for this hike is located just off of the Del Dios Highway near Calle Ambiente between Rancho Santa Fe and Escondido Look for the San Dieguito River Park sign right by the produce stand just east of Calle Ambiente and Del Dios Highway.

Wear good hiking boots (might be muddy), poles recommended for the decent, bring fluids and snacks. Hernandez,s Hideaway is a possibility for a post hike lunch.
