Austrian Alps Adventure for Skiers and Non-Skiers with Siegi’s Ski Tours.
Join other Rockers for a great week in the Alpine village of St. Veit im Pongau, a beautiful winter wonderland. This charming village is 60 km south of Salzburg.
The base rate of 1,028 euros per adult includes 6 nights, breakfasts and 4-course (fantastic!) dinners at the 4 star Metzgewirt Hotel, 3 days of ski instruction, a ski safari day, and a free ski day. Also included are evening entertainment (our kind of fun!), free access to the hotel’s wellness center, a ski locker and boot warmers.

The package rate is reduced by 116 euros for non-skiers and skiers not taking lessons.
The discounted 5-day adult lift pass at only 290.50 euros provides access to three interconnected spectacular ski resorts.
Five day helmet rentals are 18 euros.
Skis, boots and poles rental for 5 days are:
105 euros for beginner/intermediate skiers
138 euros for more advanced intermediate skiers
158 euros for intermediate/advanced skiers
177 euros for the crème de la crème skiers
Everything can be customized and rates adjusted.
Rooms accommodate either 2-3 people or 2-4 people.
The single room supplement is 18 euros per day.

Come a day early, stay a day later, skip lessons and/or the ski safari. There are more non-ski activities (at additional costs) than can be done in a week - -sleigh ride, Salzburg, hot spring pools spa, villages - - and Siegi’s will help plan them all.
Should you want to bring grandchildren, special packages are available for them as well. Please note: everyone will arrange and pay for their own travel to and from St. Veit im Pongau.

Reservations
The Basic Package is February 5 – 11 with 3 days of lessons, 1 day
ski safari, and 1 free day. You may arrive as early as February 4 or
stay as late as February 13. The Basic Package costs 1,028 euros.
The daily rate for an extra night (including dinner and breakfast) is
120 euros.

When you reach out to Kerstin, please
(a) identify yourself as part of the Rocker Ski Club,
(b) indicate the kind of room you want and the names of
roommates (even if they will book separately), and
(c) tell her whether you are doing the Basic Package or you are
customizing your package.
(d) if you plan to skip a day of skiing, let Kerstin know so she can
arrange for a non-consecutive day ski pass
Payments
A deposit of 200 euros is due upon booking. Final payment is due
6 weeks before arrival. The deposit and later payments can be paid
by wire transfer or credit card. Either Kerstin or Nancy can send
you the wire instructions. To protect your credit card information,
make credit card payments by calling Kerstin at +43 664 389 7445.
Cancellations
Note: Travel insurance is highly recommended.
The cancellation policy follows the general cancellation policy of
Austrian hotels (this is what Siegi’s has to pay its hotel partners in the
case of cancellation):
If extraneous circumstances (e.g., border closures, war) make
the holiday impossible >>> full refund of all payments
Cancellation 30 or more days before arrival >>> full refund of
all payments, less a 20 euro per adult handling fee

Cancellation 14 – 29 days before arrival >>> refund of (i) 40%
of package price related to hotel plus (ii) 100% of price related
to ski school, less a 20 euro per adult handling fee
For example, the hotel part of the basic package is 912 euros,
and the ski school part is 116 euros. So if you cancel, your
refund would be 364.80* euros plus 116 euros minus 20 euros,
which equals a refund of 460.80 euros.
*912 euros X 40% = 364.80 euros
Cancellation 6 - 13 days before arrival >>> refund of 30% of
package price related to hotel plus 100% of price related to ski
school, less a 20 euro per adult handling fee
For example, the hotel part of the basic package is 912 euros,
and the ski school part is 116 euros. So if you cancel, your
refund would be 273.60* euros plus 116 euros minus 20 euros,
which equals a refund of 369.60 euros.
*912 euros X 30% = 273.60 euros
Cancellation 1 - 5 days before arrival or no show >>> refund
of ski school part of package price less 20 euro per adult
handling fee.
For example, the ski school part of the basic package is 116
euros. So if you cancel, your refund would be 116 euros minus
20 euros, which equals a refund of 96 euros.
A full refund (less the 20 euro per adult handling fee) will be
provided if we are able to backfill a reservation that has been
cancelled.
Early Departures Unfortunately no refunds (including ski school
tuition) are available in the case of an early departure.
Getting to Siegi’s Ski Tours
in St. Viet im Pongau, Austria
From Salzburg Airport:
Car rental
Private shuttle arranged by Siegi’s (rates forthcoming – no rush
to choose this options)
Local train to “Schwarzach--St. Viet” station. This is a short and
scenic ride. Take the airport bus to the Salzburg Hauptbahnhof
(main train station) and then catch the local “commuter-type”
train. No reservation needed -- you buy your train ticket from a
machine at the station.
Siegi’s will pick you up from the “Schwarzach--St. Viet” station.
This is a 5 minute drive up the mountain with a panoramic view.
From Munich Airport:
Car rental
Direct train from the airport to “Schwarzach—St. Veit” station
with one or two changes depending on journey booked. Trip
is slightly under 4 hours. Find trains at
www.thetrainline.com.
Siegi’s will pick you up from the “Schwarzach--St. Viet”
station. This is a 5 minute drive up the mountain with a
panoramic view.
