This Sunset and Laguna Lakes Hike is a 6.5- mile figure 8 hike that has approximately 600 feet of elevation gain/loss. The trail head begins on the west side of the road at mile marker 19.1 on the Sunrise HI way. We will pass by the three lakes in the area – Water in the Wild, Big Laguna Lake and Little Laguna Lake. We will discuss water conservation along the way and will also point out some indications of Indian activities.
We will meet at the trailhead. Sturdy hiking shoes recommended. Hiking poles beneficial for water crossings. Bring plenty of fluids and food for a trail snack/ lunch. Carpools will be arranged.
